John Davenport, a Principal of Stonehill-PRM, has seven years of real estate investment and financing experience. Mr. Davenport is primarily responsible for identifying and closing opportunistic and value-added transactions that meet the investment objectives of the firm and its equity partners. He also takes an active role in formulating the firm's investment strategies and arranging the equity capital to execute these programs. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Davenport was Vice President of Acquisitions for Henry S. Miller Partners, the principal arm of the Dallas-based Henry S. Miller Company. During his tenure at HSM Equity Partners, Mr. Davenport was responsible for over $100 million in value-added retail and multi-family acquisitions. His role in these transactions included identifying and underwriting the assets, conducting due diligence on the properties, and securing debt and equity capital.
Before joining HSM Equity Partners, Mr. Davenport was an analyst/underwriter for Birmingham-based SouthTrust Bank. While at SouthTrust, the Dallas Loan Production Office originated over $1 billion in construction and bridge loans for apartments, industrial buildings, shopping centers, and office buildings. Mr. Davenport's responsibilities included risk assessment profiles of loan requests, construction draw monitoring, and market research analysis.
Mr. Davenport holds a B. B. A. in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin.
